The WWE Release The Revival

In what is easily the biggest news of the week, if not the entire year so far, the WWE has just released a statement saying they have agreed to release The Revival.

It reads;

Effective today, Friday April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”

There is no reason given as to why the two parties have come to this agreement, but it has been obvious to anyone with eyesight that neither Dash or Dawson have been happy with their lot in the company for quite a while now.

They even took to wearing #FTR on their ring gear and while a lot of people took that as a gentle dig towards the Young Bucks “F*ck The Revival” skit on “Being The Elite”, there was not much doubt that it also stood for “Free The Revival” and now it seems that they have gotten their wish.

So what next for the team?

Well, the Independent Landscape is awash with possibilities, and though the idea of seeing them in NJPW against Guerrillas of Destiny is a mouthwatering prospect, the only logical destination for them is AEW.

Let’s face it, folks, with the world on lockdown and no company outside of AEW and WWE being able to put out shows, Cody and his crew are the only place hiring now Big Vinny and Trips have decided to let them go.

That isn’t a bad thing by any means, as we can finally get the answer to who truly is better, Nick and Matt Jackson or Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder?

But as a wrestling fan, I’d have liked to have had a little mystery wrapped up in the next new AEW signing announcement.

Ah well, they can’t all be Brodie Lee and Matt Hardy now, can they?
