Ring Of Honor Announce Supercard Of Honor

Ring of Honor is dead, long live Ring Of Honor. It appears that the rumors of Ring Of Honor’s demise might have been greatly exaggerated. After last month’s Final Battle, Ring of Honor was put on hiatus, with most people inside the industry – your friendly neighborhood wrestling writer included – predicting that it would be a permanent one.

We all jumped to the same conclusion. Bad management had driven one of the most important independent wrestling promotions to ever exist out of business, and if it did return, it wouldn’t be for a very long time and with talent that nobody had ever heard of so that they could pay them peanuts.

It appears, however, that nobody bothered to tell this to those in control of Ring Of Honor as a few hours ago, they released the following statement, along with an accompanying tweet;

Ring of Honor returns to live wrestling with Supercard of Honor – slated for Friday, April 1 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Tickets for the annual pay-per-view extravaganza go on sale Friday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central for HonorClub members, and Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central for the general public.

Since 2006, Supercard of Honor has been the stage for some of ROH’s most memorable and historic matches featuring the best wrestlers on the planet.

Keep it locked into ROHWrestling.com and ROH’s social media channels for Supercard of Honor announcements.

Well, doesn’t my face look red right about now? But I am man enough to admit when I’m wrong and it looks like I – along with quite a few people – were way off the mark when we jumped to the conclusion that Ring Of Honor was dead and buried.

Sorry about that.

No news at the moment on what talent will be on the card, but hopefully it will be a veritable who’s who of independent wrestlers along with some of Ring Of Honor’s stalwart performers. Whatever happens, I’ll be glad to see Ring Of Honor back in action a lot quicker than I had originally thought it would be.
