KENTA Calls Out Jon Moxley

Honestly, no matter how much you love Jon Moxley, put yourself in KENTA’s shoes. It has been almost a year for him waiting on travel restrictions to to be lifted, so Jon Moxley can defend his IWGP US Championship against KENTA.

KENTA Is A Man Possessed

After KENTA defeated David Finlay in the first-ever New Japan Cup USA Tournament to become the #1 contender for the IWGP US Championship. Taking the belt off of Jon Moxley has been his all-consuming passion. KENTA has called out the former AEW World Champion at every opportunity and took to Twitter again this weekend to demand the Champion face him.

Moxley and The Global Pandemic

Jon Moxley has been the Champion for nearly a year now. In that entire time has only defended the IWGP US Title twice and he was successful both times. This is all because of a little thing you may have heard of called the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, if you read some of the replies to KENTA’s tweets you might think that Moxley was just avoiding him. Many fans think he should be stripped of the title altogether. There’s a very good chance this match would have already happened if Covid-19 and the travel restrictions hadn’t been put into place. It now seems that KENTA is tired of waiting for his shot.

There is no doubt that Tony Khan would love to see this match take place inside an AEW ring. With Rocky Romero pouring water on the news that there isn’t working relationship between the two companies, then there is very little chance that this will take place anywhere other than Japan. No matter what Tony Khan may claim I expect an appearance from Jon Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom 15. However, Covid-19 is still in full effect along with the travel restrictions. Also, Renee Paquette is pregnant. I don’t expect them to lock up for a while. When they do it’s going to be a hell of a fight that will end with a new champion being crowned. That’s my prediction.

What is your prediction between these two? Where do you think it takes place? Can Tony Khan get New Japan to have it in an AEW ring? Let Sports Obsessive know in the comments section below.
