Big Swole Has Left AEW

Big Swole has left AEW. According to a tweet she sent out on Twitter, Big Swole has decided to not renew her contract with AEW. She states that she has been dealing with some of the roughest times she’s faced of late and this has led to her feeling she needs to make a change.

Big Swole said;

Over the past couple of months my life has taken on the mantra grow, learn, change. Dealing with shadow work took strength I didn’t know I had. I thank God for my loving family because they got me through some of the roughest months of my life. But I realized the real test is application. So I took my leap and after speaking with TK and AEW higher officials we’ve decided not to renew my contract with All Elite Wrestling. This was a hard decision but a needed one. I am grateful for their understanding and that we could mutually come to this agreement. I’ve enjoyed my time with AEW and wish them all the best. I appreciate their love and welcoming me into the family. Today is my last day and as bittersweet as it is, I am proud to say that I’ve lived my dreams while making a difference. That is Swole Mentality”

I’m a big fan of Big Swole. She was one of the most underused talents on the AEW roster – in my opinion – and should’ve been pushed to the moon. She has her character down to a fine art and she can go with the best of them, so having her leave a company that needs all the top-tier talent in its women’s division it can get, is a blow for the company and AEW fans worldwide.

But at the end of the day, you should always do what is best for you and if Big Swole needs to step back from wrestling for a while, then so be it. Whenever she decides to return to pro wrestling – in whatever capacity she feels is right for her – then the legions of Big Swole fans will be waiting.

Take all the time you need, champ. We’ll see you soon.
