According to reports on LuchaBlog former AAA star and all-round Mexican Wrestling Legend, Flamita, has signed a one-year deal with Ring Of Honor. Taking the bull by the horns, Flamita was brought in as a replacement for the injured Bandido and did such an impressive job that it didn’t take long for the company to offer him a contract.
This won’t be the first time that the high-flyer has worked with an American based promotion, having already shown up in Dragon Gate, MLW, and Impact but it seems that ROH will now be his new home, at least for the next 52 weeks.
He is rumored to be making his first contracted appearance at next month’s Final Battle PPV and if his past is anything to go by, his luchador style should work very well within the ROH structure. In fact, your friendly neighborhood wrestling writer is already fantasy booking him in matches with the likes of Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll.
Now that I’d pay to see.
What do you think of this signing? Do you think it will make a big impact – no pun intended – for Ring of Honor? Be sure to drop a line in the comments and let us know what you think!
