Jushin Thunder Liger Wrestles Last Match, Wrestling World Gives Thanks

Jushin Thunder Liger has wrestled his last match. After a 36 year career, Liger bowed out at Wrestle Kingdom 14 and the wrestling world has been giving its thanks.

Being the consummate professional that he is, Liger went out on his shield, losing to Ryu Lee and Hiromu Takahashi in a tag match that saw him team with Naoki Sano and even take the pin following Takahashi’s Time Bomb but the bell hadn’t even fallen silent before wrestlers all over the world took to Twitter to give thanks and praise to the man.

WWE superstar, Shinsuke Nakamura, posted this tribute to his idol that shows him doing Liger’s signature pose

Whereas Bad Boy Joey Janela was in a more reflective mood, remembering the times he used to watch Liger’s DVDs on his way to school.

My personal favorite though is from Kevin Owens, who reflects on the time he got more than he asked for from The Man.

It’s obvious to see that Jushin Thunder Liger is an incredibly loved talent and one who will be sorely missed in the ring and this writer would just like to add his personal thanks and praise to one of the greatest to ever lace up a set of boots.

Thank you, Liger.
