Tessa Blanchard is not going to AEW, at least that’s according to Dave Meltzer.
Over on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Uncle Dave claims that, even though no-one within the company denies that she is an extremely talented wrestler, they currently aren’t interested in signing her up in any way, shape, or form.
Blanchard was let go from her Impact Wrestling contract earlier this year and since then speculation has been rife about her next destination with both the WWE and the aforementioned AEW seen as the two most likely places she’d end up, but it seems as if neither of the ‘Big Two’ is willing to take a gamble on her.
Even though Meltzer doesn’t give any reasoning as to why AEW has turned down the chance to sign her, especially given that her father, Tully Blanchard, is already a stalwart on their weekly shows, speculation is once again bound to focus on the very nasty and very public exposure of racial bullying that Tessa found herself the focal point of last January.
And love him or hate him, Uncle Dave is very rarely wrong in these situations.
