Does Bryan Danielson want to start a stable in AEW? It’s a tantalizing thought, isn’t it? Brian Danielson – The American Dragon – teaming up with some of the hottest prospects in AEW to form a group that could rival The Inner Circle or even the great DX. Well, it might not be as far-fetched as you might think.
Talking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Bryan Danielson had this to say when he was asked about his future goals within AEW;
If I can get a group together, I’m thinking of a younger talent or two, and that develops into stories within that. Look at Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho. By Sammy joining the Inner Circle, he’d become a bigger star. He then stepped up to the plate and hit home runs. That’s how you build young stars. A guy that comes to mind for me is Daniel Garcia…Helping AEW, I want to help that need for viewers to come back every week. I think they’ve already created the best wrestling product in the United States than we’ve seen in years. Helping to get more fans watching and give the feeling like it’s must-see television every week. Those are my over-arching goals, not only for this year, but the three years I’m here.”
This isn’t the first time that Bryan Danielson has name-checked Daniel Garcia as he previously mentioned him as one of the AEW talents whose ring style he really admired, and I can’t be the only wrestling fan hoping that this comes to fruition. After all, we’ve only got three more years of Bryan Danielson left as a full-time competitor, and what better way for him to leave the business than by helping the younger talent reach their full potential within the company?
Besides, a three-way feud between The Inner Circle, The Pinnacle, and whatever Bryan Danielson calls his stable- may I suggest The Bryan Daniel’s Sons? – has gotten money written all over it.
