Were There Many Winners and Losers This Week? Maybe Just More Questions
I can’t believe the Pittsburgh Steelers are 10-0 and are still undefeated. Honestly, have they played anyone with a good record? The Jets are 0-10 and still winless. Clearly, people are getting fired soon in New York. But the rest of the games were crazy to pick.
Out of Sunday’s twelve winners only three (Steelers, Chiefs and Saints) of them were favored teams with a better record than their opponent. Three winners entered Sunday’s games had even records with their opponent. Six of them had a worse record than their opponent. What does this mean? It tells me that playoffs races just tightened up meaning it is getting good and might be interested in the home stretch.
Teams That Know How To Win
Pittsburgh, Kansas City and New Orleans are the only three teams in the NFL with eight or more wins so far. Could they be a locks for the playoffs already? With this year, who knows? It has already been a crazy year. Of course, Tampa Bay has a chance to join all of them with win number eight on Monday Night Football.
Teams That Can Win With The Right Opportunity
This is everyone else in the league but the hapless New York Jets. However, everyone else has to have the right opportunity to win or for another team to mess up. Well, the NFC is about to get crazy since no team has less than three wins on the year. As they are getting ready to fight it out in the last six weeks then it’s going to be fun for us fans.

Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow is out of the season with a left knee injury. He was carted off in a loss to Washington. He tweeted to his fans, “See ya next year” after the game. They believe it is an ACL and are waiting for MRI to see how bad it is. The #1 draft pick threw 12 touchdowns in his rookie year before it came to an abrupt end.
Does it seem to you that Kansas City is always having to come from behind? They had to rely on Patrick Mahomes to throw a bunch of touchdowns against the Raiders. The Chiefs improve to 9-1.
Indianapolis squeaks by Green Bay in overtime 34-31. How is Aaron Rodgers everyone’s top QB when Phillip Rivers stayed right with him? Rodgers was 27/38 with 311 yards. He had 3 touchdowns with one interception. While Rivers was 24/36 with 288 yards. He had 3 touchdowns with one interception. The Colts outscored the Packers 20-3 in the second half and overtime.
We have another overtime in the Tennessee and Baltimore game. The Titans had to comeback to even force the overtime and then win it in the overtime period. They go for the AFC South lead against the Indianapolis Colts next week.
How much longer can Philadelphia stick with Carson Wentz? He threw two more interceptions against Cleveland to lead the NFL in them with 14 and in sacks with 40. “No questions about it. He is our starter,” head coach Doug Pederson told reporters after the game.
Maybe the shock of Sunday is New Orleans winning with their backup QB Taysom Hill, not Jameis Winston. We also found that Drew Brees has 11 broken ribs and may be out 3-4 weeks. Hill threw for 233 yards also rushed 51 yards with two touchdowns.
