NFL Monday Night Football Magnificent

Patrick Mahomes Getting Better?

Usually, we give you a Sunday breakdown, but Patrick Mahomes made it so Sports Obsessive HAD to write about his Monday Night Football Magnificent performance. We’re here to break it down for you.

Mahomes Scores 5 TDs on Monday Night Football

The Chiefs absolutely ripped apart the Baltimore Ravens 34-21 on Monday Night Football. Yes, the score doesn’t seem like it, but the game wasn’t in doubt. It always just seemed like the Chiefs were in charge. This game featured two young quarterbacks who have claimed the last two MVP awards. Well, Mahomes showed everyone that it might not even be close anymore.

Patrick Mahomes delivered another unbelievable performance of 31/42 with 385 yards and throwing for 4 TD’s and adding 1 TD rushing. However, on the other side, Lamar Jackson threw for just 97 yards. Since Jackson took over as Baltimore’s QB, the Ravens are 21-1 against the rest of the NFL. They are 0-3 against the Chiefs.

September Needs Renamed Month of Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is now 10-0 with 3,300 passing yards and 32 TDs in the month of September. Breaking it down this means the Chiefs have started 3-0 or better every year since he took over the starting job in 2018. Can the Chiefs be happier with Mahomes and what he is doing for the team?

And Another Record Broken on Monday Night Football…

On Monday Night, Mahomes eclipsed 10,000 yards passing and broke Kurt Warner’s record as the fastest QB ever to do it. He did it in 34 games.

The 3-0 Club

Of course, now Kansas City becomes the seventh team to start the year 3-0, joining the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Buffalo Bills.

Next Week

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens hope to bounce back next week against the Washington Football Team while Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs face Cam Newton and the Patriots at home.

I’ll be the first to admit that I totally missed on Patrick Mahomes. I have no clue he would be this good. Honestly, I thought he would be a one year wonder. Well, now I have to admit that he is extremely good and I was totally wrong not to admit it sooner.
