Welcome to 25 Yards Later, Sports Obsessive and Rumination Radio Network’s fantasy football podcast! Nick and Allijah react to Week 5, which had no fewer than three potentially of the top-10 games of the season. Unfortunately for both of them, one of those games was the Monday Night Ravens/Colts which game cost them heartbreaking losses, as it did many fantasy players.
This week, the guys break down the Arizona Cardinals @ the Cleveland Browns, the Dallas Cowboys @ the New England Patriots, the inexplicably favored Minnesota Vikings @ the Carolina Panthers, and another Monday Night Football game that might end up being another nightmare for fantasy players and Titans fans alike, the Buffalo Bills @ the Tennessee Titans. The Bills defense has been legitimately terrifying this year, allowing the least fantasy points to quarterbacks and wide receivers, along with the 3rd fewest points to running backs.
As always, we have a lot of questions on our minds. Have we gotten any clearer picture of the Cardinals’ receiving corps? How good was David Njoku’s receing performance last week? Were Khalil Herbert’s 18 carries last week a real or fake stat? Is Darrell Daniels a real person? Did Tony Pollard get any closer to making Allijah eat his shorts? What are we doing with the Patriots running backs? Will DJ Moore rebound from his first bad game of the year? Will Robby Anderson be able to turn targets into production? What amazing Derrick Henry stats can we add to the discourse?
Also, a ton of injury news broke after we recorded, including Nick Chubb and Chris Carson getting ruled out of Sunday’s game. Needless to say, don’t start them this week; they will get you zeros.
